The European Payment Institutions Federation (EPIF) is organising a Conference taking place on Wednesday 6 November 2019 in Brussels.

This year’s conference will focus on the market developments shaping the payments industry, including technological developments and new consumer trends, the current regulatory challenges in relation to AML and deriding, the IFR revision, the SCA implementation, the SEPA API scheme and open banking, instant payments, the VAT proposal and the PSD2 implementation.

We are delighted to have Mario Nava, Director for Horizontal Policies at DG FISMA, Ulrich Bindseil, Director General of Market Infrastructure & Payments at the European Central Bank and Dirk Haubrich, Head of Conduct, Payments and Consumer at the European Banking Authority give the keynotes. Also joining us will be Etienne Goosse, EPC, Rene Plank, DG COMP, Raluca Pruna, DG JUST, Eric Ducoulombier, DG FISMA, and Eva Maydell, Member of the European Parliament.

Senior executives of the EPIF membership will also share their views on the current issues and the next chapter on payments. We will be joined by Paul Marriott-Clarke, CEO for PayPal Europe, Carlos Carriedo, Senior Vice President and General Manager Europe of American Express, Massimiliano Alvisini, CEO of Western Union Payments Services, Megan Bramlette, Principal Product Manager at Amazon Global Payments, Thomas Haarmann, Managing Director and Country Manager GSA/BeNeLux of Elavon, Elie Beyrouthy , Chair of EPIF and Vice President of European Government Affairs at American Express, Jana Mackintosh, Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Worldpay, Just Hasselaar, Ecommerce Europe, and Alex Roy, Head of Payments Policy at the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

It will take place at rue de la Science 14B, 1040 Brussels.
