Our dedicated Secretariat keeps members informed of policy developments, news, events and publications through regular email updates and analysis. Services include daily updates, regular round ups, information on industry events and brief assessments of the potential market impact. EPIF also supports its members to gain a better understanding of EU legal requirements, regulation and compliance.
Participate in the EU standard setting and regulatory debate
Joining EPIF gives you the opportunity to meet with the other stakeholders in the EU standard setting process on payments (banks, merchants, users and regulators) and to actively reflect the diverse membership of the Federation in these discussions. EPIF is a member of the European Payments Council and of the European Retail Payments Board.
Although not its main aim, from time to time EPIF members also develop common views on relevant pending EU legislation. Files closely monitored by EPIF include the anti-money laundering, the authorisation and regulatory framework for non-bank payment providers, data privacy law, and the safety of mobile and internet payments.
