The European Payment Institutions Federation (EPIF) is pleased to announce that Nickolas Reinhardt, Head of the EPIF Secretariat, will be speaking at the Global Forum on Remittances and Development 2015 (GFRD) which is being hosted in Milan on 16th-19th June 2015.
As part of a series of events organised by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialised agency of the United Nations, the GFRD 2015 is a prestigious event co-hosted by the IFAD, the European Commission and the World Bank. Attendees are from the private sector, the public sector and civil society and development organisations including policy makers, international financial institutions, public and private banks, chambers of commerce and academic institutions.
Given the size and importance of the remittance sector and Europe’s involvement in this sector, the GFRD brings together stakeholders, experts and regulators with the aim of creating a common agenda for the European remittance market and exchanging best practices and experiences.
Sarah Sheehan, Chair of EPIF comments: “EPIF’s participation in GFRD 2015 shows once again that our Federation is increasingly recognised for the important contributions it makes to public policy formulation on important payments issues, such remittances.”
